Ultimate Performance Runners Water Bottle (300ml and 580ml) – Test & Review

"They would be particularly good if you’re doing loops in an ultra race..."

I have been running ultras for two years now and fell into it really by always wanting to get to the next milestone. I am currently training for my first 100 mile ultramarathon in 2025.

I am testing the new Ultimate Performance water bottles while running on a mixture of trail and road routes. Firstly it’s great to know that they’re recyclable and made from 100% bio polymers from plants. Therefore they’re carbon neutral and it prevents more plastic ending up in landfill which is really important. Secondly, they come in some great colours, I’m trying out the smaller 300ml pink bottle and larger 580ml green water bottle.

Ultimate performance water runners bottle review

I found the 300cc was okay to hold whilst running but I wouldn’t like to carry it for anything more than about 4 to 5 miles. I frequently run with a vest or a belt that can hold a soft flask in as this keeps my hands free.

You could have it in your pack for longer runs as it could be easily pulled out with its big grippy handle. They would be particularly good if you’re doing loops in an ultra race and can store it somewhere.
