This is not your average Mud Run and every year it attracts the toughest of warriors from across the country and beyond. For the past 11 years the event has taken place in the stunning surroundings of Bramham Park in Leeds.
The event has challenges for everyone from Junior Warrior 3km, 6km Warrior, 12km Warrior and our personal favourite Ultra Warrior – four gruelling timed laps of the 12K course!
The winner is the Warrior who completes the most number of laps, in the fastest possible time. There’s no prizes or points for being out on course when the 5 hour mark strikes. Warriors must be at the finish line on the 5 hour mark.
Ultra Warrior is also an OCR World Championships Qualifier which will take place in Mammoth Lakes, California, USA from the 5th – 9th October. Unfortunately places have now sold out… so hopefully you’ve already booked your place!
The course has one checkpoint at the start/finish and one approximately at the half way point, so you can complete half and full laps. The winner is the participant who completes the most number of laps, or half laps, in the fastest possible time.
This year’s obstacles include:
• Climbing walls
• Mud slides
• Ice cold plunge pools
• Waterfall climbs
• Fire pit jumps
• Mud moguls
