Nick Butter runs 200 marathons in 128 days becoming the fastest person to run around the coast of Britain!

In support of his newly formed charity The 196 Foundation, Nick Butter took on the challenge of becoming the first and fastest person to run around the coast of Great Britain. Starting and finishing at the Eden Project in Cornwall, Nick planned to run 200 marathons in 100 days, running 52.4 miles a day and ultimately covering a distance of 5,240 miles. Nick Butter used to work in the finance sector in a role that some would say defines stability and success. However, feeling he had fallen for the trap of doing what many of us think we should do as opposed to what we really want to do, he quit his job and took a leap of faith.

Not so many years later and he has become a renowned name in the world of running, best known for being the first person to run a marathon in every country.

In August of this year, the 31-year-old from Bristol became the first person to complete another monumental adventure by being the first and fastest individual to run around the coast of the UK. ‘Run Britain’ was a product of the covid-19 lockdowns, when all original plans for travel were forced to be postponed and most of us were stuck inside our homes.
