Bring plenty of water (or sports drinks) with electrolytes to stay hydrated – dehydration is common in high altitude areas due to the lower oxygen levels. Familiarise yourself with the trail and be sure you know where you can find water and help if needed. And perhaps most importantly, have fun and enjoy it!
