Montane, the brand synonymous with the outdoors, marks 30 years in the outdoor clothing industry this year and is working with its community to chronicle its journey of progress and exploration.
Montane has been at the forefront of Timeless Design for three decades, evolving with the changing landscape of adventure to deliver clothing and equipment for outdoor enthusiasts that’s built for more and stands the test of time.
Born out of exploration, Montane has evolved to build layering pieces that can endure the toughest conditions, supporting athletes and outdoor professionals to summit some of Earth’s most inaccessible peaks, trails, and mountain ranges.
For this year, Montane has also announced that it will continue to progress its ‘Further. Forever’ initiative with the launch of ‘Know What You’re Buying’, a product knowledge table that features alongside 40% of the AW23 collection, providing customers with details about the origin of its products, third party accreditations, and the composition of the materials used.
The aim is to increase transparency and allow customers to make more informed purchasing choices toprotect the outdoors for future generations.
To mark this occasion, the brand reached out to the Montane community via social media and in-person events to reflect on this journey, to share experiences of Montane moments, and to acknowledge the important part this community plays in the brand’s continued pursuit of performance.
Throughout the year, Montane will be sharing the stories of those who have been with the brand over the decades, featuring real-life anecdotes from #TeamMontane athletes, members of the Montane community, and outdoor professionals.
Montane’s Marketing Director, Matthew Hickman, commented: “30 years is a key milestone for the business and it gives us an opportunity to not only reflect on the progress we have made but also allows us to look at what the next 30 years hold for Montane. The world we live in is continually evolving and provides new opportunities for us to drive the brand forward as well as looking to reduce our impact on the wild landscapes where we find inspiration.”
Founded in 1993, three decades on, Montane continues working with mountain professionals and world-class athletes to test kit fit for endurance sports and activities in extreme environments. To learn more about the ‘30 years of Progress’ head over to the blog and see more from the campaignhere.
