British outdoor clothing and equipment brand, Montane, has announced its latest partnership with Outside, the outdoor clothing retailer, encouraging runners and hikers alike to take up the Hope Valley Round Challenge, set in the heart of the Peak District.
The 20-mile circular route takes place in the lesser explored areas of the National Park, starting and finishing at the Outside Café in Hathersage. The route includes 1,360 meters of accents and is suitable for both trail runners and walkers alike with nearly 600 participants in the last ten months.
Challenge organisers set out with the aim of designing a route that encourages participants to take in their natural surroundings over the undulating route that covers seven checkpoints; Leadmill Bridge, Shatton Moor mast, Old Moor track, Mam Tor trig point, Lose Hill trig point, Win Hill trig point, and Nether Hurst Farm.
First introduced in 2019, the Hope Valley Round offers challengers the chance to push themselves to the limits and conquer the magnificent terrain. Upon finishing the round, verified completers will be rewarded with a Montane neck chief, showcasing their accomplishment and adding to the sense of satisfaction derived from a day spent on the trail.
Montane’s Sell Through Team Manager, Hannah Campbell, commented: “We are proud to collaborate with Outside again for a second year on this motivational challenge in this stunning landscape. Montane and Outside have combined our passion for the outdoors to create an unforgettable experience for all participants.”
James Turnbull, Outside Café owner, commented: “The whole point is not doing the fastest one or anything like that – well, keep a track of times; but it’s about getting around and enjoying it. So just get involved. It’s going to be great”.
