My name is Kristian Morgan. I’m 46 years old. I was born in England and raised in Australia from a very young age. So that’s who I am.
The Appalachian Trail is amongst the longest continuously marked trails in the world. Covering over 2,200 miles, the trail travels through 14 different states and acts as a vertical slash through the United States.
Hikers and trail runners must battle an elevation change of over 464,000ft, which equates to climbing Mt Everest 16 times while encountering North American wildlife like Bobcats, Mountain Lions and Bears.
Here, Kristian Morgan spent over a month traversing the trail to gain the second-fastest time in the world: 45d 4h 27m, also making him the FKT for the Southbound route.
