The TRAILFLY and TRAILFLY SPEED feature the biggest and most exciting design enhancements in the company’s 20+ year history. They also form part of a radical new 2024 footwear collection that headlines INOV8’s first-ever rebrand.
Last month, the first shoe to launch from the collection was the MUDTALON SPEED, designed for muddy running and soft-ground trails. The two new arrivals are hard-ground specialists.
And while they retain some of the key DNA that has made earlier award-winning shoes from the same franchise so hugely successful, these new innovations are a different breed of beast ready to meet the next generation’s needs of runners who like to tear up trails.
Like the other shoes in the 2024 collection, the TRAILFLY and TRAILFLY SPEED feature a brand-new anatomical foot-shaped fit that promotes a more natural feel. This, in turn, brings greater levels of comfort and performance.
INOV8 designers have also worked tirelessly to develop major enhancements in grip, cushioning, protection, durability and visual design.
The TRAILFLY SPEED is the lighter of the two new shoes and is available to buy now*. The TRAILFLY, which has deeper cushioning than its sibling, is set to join it shortly. Both will eventually come in two brand-new width fits – Standard & Wide. For launch, the TRAILFLY SPEED is in wide fit. The TRAILFLY will launch in both fits.

20 years in the making, the TRAILFLY SPEED brings together everything INOV8 has learned over the past two decades, culminating in the ultimate fast-feel running shoe for hard-ground trails.
The carefully crafted new foot-shaped fit which features on all new INOV8 footwear in 2024 hugs the natural contours of the whole foot. It locks in at the heel for a confidence-boosting, secure hold and widens at the toes to allow the feet and toes to function naturally. This brings greater performance benefits and comfort levels for trail runners.
Hard-wearing rubber infused with the world’s most robust material – Graphene – has now also been enhanced with more stickiness. It means the newly shaped 4mm long lugs not only cut through loose trails and remain super-durable but also give greater grip in wet conditions.
Skip over technical trails and sharp rocks, knowing the bottom of your feet are protected by adding a flexible META-SHANK rock plate.
Thanks to its flexibility, the plate still allows your feet to move naturally and enjoy some feel for the terrain underneath. A toe guard adds further protection at the front of the shoe when you inevitably kick a rock.
The new superlight POWERFLOW PRO foam midsole provides a cushioned, bouncy ride that retains high levels of responsiveness.
A single piece of air-mesh material forms the upper, making the shoe highly breathable and comfortable with zero irritation to the feet. Over the top of the air-mesh, light MET-CRADLE strips connect the midfoot to the heel, creating an even greater locked-in, secure feel when you tighten your laces.
