Paul Minter, a British Army Veteran, is currently running the ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE UK COASTLINE to raise money for the charity he founded, Head Up.
Beginning in March, Paul is currently on day 84 and has raised an amazing £357k so far in this world-record setting run. Carrying everything he needs in a backpack weighing 10kgs and with a 4ft flag attached, Paul’s epic run sees him averaging 31.2 miles a day (basically equivocal to daily ultra-marathons) journeying 1,700 miles along the UK coastline, taking over 3.5M steps, and climbing almost 76,000 feet!
The incredible feat of athleticism and endurance will take 7 months continuously on the road to complete, all to raise funds towards developing a safe haven for members of the armed forces. The ‘Head Up’ charity’s major goal is to provide a residential retreat in the British countryside where soldiers past and present can go for some much-needed respite, allowing them to strengthen their mindset and mentalhealth.
