Unprecedented. A word that we became all too familiar with in 2020-2021. The oxford dictionary defines unprecedented as; [that] has never happened, been done, or been known before and boy, what a fitting way to sum up last year!

The covid-19 pandemic turned life as we knew it upside down, and the consequences rippled through society in a way that we could have never predicted or been ready to tackle. The impact of the crisis left great suffering in its quake, with sudden and significant loss of life, economic collapse and health and wealth inequalities exacerbated.
