Eoin Keith is no stranger to the Montane Spine Race. Having competed seven times, earning three second-place podium finishes and three wins under his belt, the Irish Ultrarunner has had almost every experience an athlete can have along the Pennine Way National Trail.
The 2022 10th-anniversary edition of the Montane Spine Race saw a strong field of elite Ultrarunners, record breakers and race winners, in both the male and female race, out in force to claim a winter victory.
Eoin crossed the finish line in first place in a time of 92 hours and 40 minutes. Ultrarunner Magazine welcomed Eoin back to discuss his recent adventure along the Spine!
“The most alluring thing about the spine race is its toughness! The arduousness of the British Mountains in winter is exactly the type of challenge that I enjoy. The spine race is a tester for everything, skills, navigation, and resilience!” – Eoin. URMAG YouTube Interview (2021)
