Camille Herron breaks Women’s Six Day World Record

The record was previously unbroken for 34 Years

American ultrarunning legend Camille Heron, 42, has broken the women’s six-day world record at the Lululeom FURTHER event in La Quinta, California.

Running at least 901 km (560 miles), the Lululemon ambassador has surpassed the record on a 2.5-mile flat dirt loop course, smashing the 34-year-old record set by New Zealand Sandra Barwick (883km / 549 miles). Within this race, Camille has also made history by breaking other long-distance world records; these include:

Camille has done the impossible, exceeding 500 miles in less than 5 days, something no woman and few men have achieved.

As part of its FURTHER initiative aimed at showcasing just how far women can go with support and access to resources and product innovations typically reserved for men, running brand Lululemon has just unveiled new products developed with and for the female athletes competing in the brand’s first-ever women’s ultramarathon.

Products designed for the six-day ultramarathon, which began on 6th March just ahead of International Women’s Day, were co-created with 10 female athletes from the brand’s global ambassador collective to ensure their unique needs would be addressed on the course.
