GB Ultras Assistant race director, Laura Hutchinson caught up with Ultrarunner Magazine to discuss the 6th edition of the Chester Ultra 50-mile race.
The Chester Ultra 50-mile race is an Ultra-marathon event that links trails along the North Cheshire Way and Sandstone Way, taking in the Helsby Hill, Delamere Forest and Frodsham. Packed with breath-taking scenery, stunning natural beauty spots and rich history, the 50-mile route brings runners on a picturesque adventure as the route visits, the trails, rivers, and forests of today, blended with whispers of the past.
“We started the Chester Ultra 50-mile race a little differently this year, at a brand-new start location, on Ellesmere Port Sports Village Athletics Track. Before the race began, we had a one-minute round of applause in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The moment of unity created a lovely atmosphere on the start line, everyone came together to share in their support of the people and families that have been affected by the conflict in Ukraine”.
